Fun Facts About The Artist…
A little bit of a shorter post for you all for my second journal entry, but one that helps you get to know me a little more as we start this website and business off together! So here goes..
I hate to have my photograph taken, so this particular post was a rather difficult one for me as I knew I needed to share an image of myself! Next year (2026), I have a big goal to start sharing more of me and behind the scenes of the brand with chatty videos and share a few things I have learnt along the way.
I am a huge chocolate lover - Toblerone, Mini eggs, Creme Eggs and Giant Dairy Milk Chocolate buttons are my ultimate! Although I am attempting a bit of a health kick at the moment so it has been a little while since I have had these!
I have coeliac disease, which means I have to eat gluten free. Often a pain when travelling! But, it has been several years now and I have grown more used to it now. I am still always on the hunt for new small businesses to purchase gluten free goodies from though!
Perhaps an obvious one, but I adore flowers and wildlife - they are of course my main feature in my business.
I have become a huge fan and avid learner of photography, I am always capturing moments on my travels (all the photographs on my website from the flowers to the product photography are my own)
Exploring National Trust gardens and castles is a favourite travel day for me, with my husband. If you follow me on Instagram you will know Quarry Bank Mill is one of my favourite local spots to visit and many of my designs are inspired from photographs I have captured there.
I have a full time job as a HR Recruitment Administrator in Manchester and I am really enjoying building my business alongside this.
I adore horse riding and have actually found a local riding school to take new lessons and trail rides next year - another of my goals, to explore new hobbies and enjoy life more while I can.
I spent a year living and working in Jasper, Alberta with my husband and it is one of the best experiences I have ever had!
I live near Manchester and work in the centre, I love visiting the city and exploring the museums, shops and restaurants but the countryside is my favourite place to be. I one day hope to own a cottage and perhaps a cut flower garden to grow my own inspiration.
